Senior Service Designer

Job description

Nacar is looking for a senior Service designer with solid experience in both research and envisioning of

innovative solutions.

The candidate will interface directly with Nacar´s client (large corporation) and manage directly planning, work

and reporting with the client representatives.

The role and responsibilities apply during 2 main phases of Service & Product innovation process.

Discovery phase

● Set objectives, plan, and deliverables (together with Key Stakeholders)

● Gathers client business requirements, internal knowledge, and desk research

● Design, facilitate workshops and document outcomes.

● Define Learning plan (research protocol) and run research activities

● Make Data analysis to define current customer/user profiles, Service journeys, scenarios, and key

pain points.

● Identifies key insights and Service Design opportunities.

Envisioning phase

● Create customer/user journeys (if required by the project/scope)
● Create storyboards (if required by the project/scope)
● Make Ideation of service design, user experience concepts and solution ecosystems
● Translate concept ideas into service and user experience prototypes
● Produce low to medium fidelity prototypes.
● Test service and user experience prototypes with users and client stakeholders and iterate
convergence towards a coherent, validated concept.

Materialize
- Participate into the definition of user experience design goals
- Participate in Reviews of Product Design development milestones and outputs before handover to
development teams for conformity to service design goals.

● Support the project team in case of internal/external Audit (Regulatory)
● Document project milestones according to the Nacar’s client Usability Engineering QAP (Regulatory)
● Participate in larger design team rituals (Boards, Portfolio exchanges, Offsites, Capability meetings)
and adopt design team tools and processes (monday.com, project dashboard, miro, etc…)
● Permanently optimize processes to increase quality and efficiency standards.

Main tasks and duties:

● Gather business requirements and customer needs
● Design and facilitate workshops
● Create Service design blueprints, user/customer journeys (if required by the project/scope)
● Create storyboards (if required by the project/scope)
● Provide design tasks time/effort
● Collect feedback from stakeholders on the low/Mid fidelity service design mockups and iterate design
requirements.



Requirements

  • Seniority at conducting service and user research and transforming into insights, innovation strategy

and design guidance.

  • Seniority at planning, doing, and reporting product testing with users
  • Demonstrated Strategic thinking (articulates perfectly business, service design and customer

perspectives)

  •  Knows and applies user centred frameworks on a daily basis (Personas, Customer journeys, service

design blueprints, story boards, etc…)

  • Capable of formulating recommendations and service design opportunities and reach stakeholder buy

in.

  • Capable to prototype Medium to High fidelity service design prototypes (videos, storyboards,touch

points mock ups…)

  • Experience in using collaborative platforms (Miro, google suite, etc…)
  • Experience in desktop web application software design
  • Experience in medical sector is a plus
  • Experience in working in a corporate environment and understanding how to navigate organisation to

reach his/her goals

  • Assertiveness: Ability to defend convictions with left hand skills if needed
  • Experience in facilitation of workshops
  • Project management and organised with regards to personal time management
  • Experience and comfortable in working with in an agile based project team rituals and individual

delivery

  • Comfortable and effective at working remotely and autonomously
  • Handles and enjoys dealing in an uncertain and ambiguous context and delivering under pressure.
  •  Naturally Proactive, and enjoys leading. Positive and constructive attitude to remove roadblocks into

solutions and buy in from stakeholders.

  • Excellent and Effective communication towards upper level management
  • English proficiency is a must
  • 10-15+ y experience in UX research and design
