Job description

Nacar is a Strategic Design Agency based in Barcelona with an agile and international team of over 80 professionals. We work with all-size clients from across multiple sectors establishing solutions and product strategies that apply to Industrial, Digital, Brand and Service Design. We would like to meet experienced engineers with strong SolidWorks skills for our 3D printed tooling team.

About the Role

The Design Engineer will be form part of a fast-growing team of enthusiastic engineers, part of a collaboration between Nacar design and a multinational client. After receiving a training in the design of tooling to be printed with Multi Jet Fusion technology, they will autonomously design moulded fiber tooling, and contribute to the upscaling and streamlining of this innovative business.

About you

We know that you are passionate about mechanics, perfectly modelled surfaces, and fluent engineering processes. You might have been working professionally with Solid Works for the design of manufacturing systems. We can also imagine that you are working in product engineering and that you would like to make the step to the world of 3D printing and fast tooling. Whatever you story is, if you are a passionate mechanical engineer with strong surface modelling capabilities in Solid Works, that we can’t wait to hear from you.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable
  • Additional education in the field of “design for 3D printing” is highly valued
  • Excellent CAD surface modelling skills in SolidWorks
  • Experience with mechanical systems of medium complexity, ideally tooling
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling
  • High level of curiosity, creativity, and flexibility
  • Team player, who acts proactively to address client’s needs
  • High sense of responsibility
  • Working proficiency in English
  • You must be able to live and work legally in Spain.
